Cleaning not eating

I really find that housework is a great weight loss tool. For one you're moving I find that scrubbing sweeping vacuuming really get the heart rate up, plus I do tons of squats while cleaning the bottom of the toilet, dusting bottom shelves, etc.

Eat Beans

All types of beans are digested very slowly, producing only a gradual rise in blood-sugar levels/ Altho beans are high in carbs they can make you feel full. They have indigestible sugars 7& inactivate enzymes required to digest proteins and carbohydrates. Pair them up with a little brown rice & brocolli.

Turn your Relapse into a RECYCLE!

I Goofed Up! Pizza and Dr. Pepper! Right when I was doing everything right for a change! Argh! I started to get really down on myself, but then, I decided to look at my slip as a RECYCLE and see what I can learn from it that will help me make a better plan for the next time...
This is my new Mantra:
DON'T GIVE UP IF YOU GOOF UP---JUST RECYCLE!
Hang in there!

If strawberries aren't sweet enough, rather than adding sugar, try a little fresh squeezed orange juice over them. Makes a delicious breakfast! emoticon

Most cough Syrup contain sugar, which can affect blood glucose levels, and also blood pressure. I found a cough syrup that has no sugar or sodium. It's called Diabetic Tussin and it's available at Walmart. Also If you're diagnosed with flu, it's very important to check blood sugar readings several times a day

Ease Arthritis Pain

Every pound puts excess stress on the joints. Drink tart cherry juice or eat tart cherries to relieve some pain and also almonds. Stay away from food that form acid in the body & red, green & yellow peppers, potatoes, tomatoes, and eggplants. It is also important to stay hydrated. Those that suffer should avoid MSG, wheat and wheat gluten as they give flare ups.

Eating avocado, cabbage, broccoli, celery, cherries, chestnuts and cucmbers help arthiritis.

Magnesium Deficient?

Around 80% of diabetics have low magnesium. Gloucose cause magnesium to be flushed from the system. Magnesiun can improve insulin sensitivity and also help us to absorb Vitamin D, calcium and potassium. If you have poor sleep, leg cramps, fatigue or migraines you could be low in magnesium.

Track in Advance!

Track your foods the day before you plan on eating them. That way, you're not tempted to eat foods that aren't on the tracker. Part of it is being too lazy to change it once you've put it in.

However, make sure you track treats for yourself on special days or weekends so you don't feel deprived. I usually have one "sweet" per day (such as pudding or a popsicle, etc), and I track one alcoholic drink (or two) on an evening out on the weekend.
